Manop is currently a lecturer at Chulalongkorn University, where he contributes to academic teaching and research. Alongside his academic career, he has played a significant role in the Wikimedia movement in Thailand for many years.
He has been an active contributor to Thai Wikipedia since 2005, helping to create and improve a wide range of articles in the Thai language. From 2005 to 2013, he also served as a system administrator (sysop) on Thai Wikipedia, where he was responsible for maintaining content quality, supporting users, and managing the platform’s operations. In addition, he is the founder of the WikiThai Forum, a community space that connects Thai Wikimedia contributors and encourages discussion and collaboration.
Currently, Manop serves as the President of Wikimedia Thailand (since 2026–present). In this leadership role, he helps guide the organization’s direction, supports community development, and promotes open knowledge initiatives across the country. His long-standing dedication and leadership have made him a key figure in the growth of Wikimedia in Thailand.
